Presidentís Column
 Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome to the fall edition of the AACIO Newsletter. I hope all of you had a great summer.

Our last dinner meeting at the time of the ACC was a resounding success in San Francisco. The scientific program was good and it was well attended. The San Francisco harbor provided a spectacular background to the activities. I would like to thank all of you for making it a success. Our partnership with local Indian physicians from the Bay area was a contributor to its success.

This year, the American Heart Association will be meeting in Dallas. We are putting together another wonderful program and I would like to invite all of you to attend. The details of the program will be posted to the website at Your organization continues to gain strength and we are grateful for your continued active participation. We would like to encourage you to reach out to your friends and colleagues and fellows in training to join and participate actively in AACIO.

Fellows-in-training as well as recently graduated fellows are encouraged to submit their Research abstracts for the Young Investigator Awards given out at each meeting.

Our website has been completely re-designed and is more functional and I invite all of you to visit us at We are thankful to our industry sponsors for supporting the scientific program.

I hope that next year will bring all of you success, happiness and prosperity. See you in Dallas November 17, 2013!

Warm Regards,

Kul Aggarwal, M.D.
